Jess’s coaching and seminars have been invaluable in helping me to grow as a dog photographer. She has been a wealth of knowledge. On the technical side, she has helped me push up the quality of the photographs I take, in-studio and with outdoor action shots. I have also had guidance on running my business in areas such as marketing, sales and advertising. It’s been such a help having someone who has “been there and got the t-shirt”. Her passion for the art and genuine desire for her students to reach their potential shines through. If you are looking for coaching to take your photography to the next level I highly recommend Jess.

Jess’ advice was honest, practical and to the point.  An hours session has kicked me into gear and given me a whole bunch to work on.  Would I recommend?  Wholeheartedly.  Will I be booking another session?  Definitely.

I would consider myself as an experienced dog photographer. I have been in the industry for 9 years and shot a lot of dogs. But still, I felt stuck with my marketing and sales sessions. So what did I do? I booked a One to One business session with Jess. And I am so happy with what I got out of that session. Jess asks the right questions to get the thought process started. She listened to what I had to say. And gave great advice that is possible for me to implement!

Before I ordered I thought that one hour would be a too long session. Could we have enough subjects to talk about for one hour? Oh was I wrong. That hour went so fast. And there was never a second of silence. Just great information and conversation all the time. So thank you so much Jess! I will work on everything we talked about and I will order a new session later to ask all the question that arose after we were finished.

I had a business 1-2-1 booked with Jess to talk about business growth.  Jess went right back into my business structure, identifying the weak spots for me to work on.  Jess gave me lots to work on and review, after saying there’s no point filling a bucket before you have fixed the holes.  I am excited to have more sessions with Jess!

Jess is always on hand to offer advice and we have had many mentoring sessions over the years, on all aspects of the business, including design, branding and marketing, amongst other things. We have had one to one sessions both in person and online. Jess is very knowledgeable in all aspects of running a business and offers no-nonsense honest advice. She is reliable, efficient and exactly the person you need if you want to make your business stand out from the rest!

My one-to-one editing session with Jess was nothing short of amazing and no doubt, the best money I've spent on my photography education! Jess genuinely wanted to help and made sure I understood the reasons for what she was doing as far as editing my image.  My favorite takeaways were her method of making the eyes pop and also the contouring.  Both are now a part of every image I edit, there is just no going back on those.  Aside from those two favorites, I learned several other techniques that I have found incredibly useful in understanding Photoshop better.  I highly recommend doing a one-to-one session!

This course is absolutely perfect for beginners. Extremely clear and easy to understand, taking you through all of the tools you need in an easy to navigate step by step format. For anyone struggling with Photoshop this is an essential purchase!!! You can learn at your own pace, in your own time and you will be confident in the foundations of Photoshop by the end. Cannot recommend enough.

As someone who’s been using Photoshop for years, I felt I could use a return to the basics and enjoyed That Tog Spot’s YouTube videos, so I purchased this course. I was surprised at how much I learned! Jess leads you through the basics of Photoshop in a clear, concise manner, and the exercises provided help to put what you learn into practice. I would HIGHLY recommend this course for anyone who wants to learn how to use Photoshop.

I joined this workshop to learn more about photo' editing, but I learned so much more than this. I learned that the editing is like the candle on your birthday cake. It finishes it off well, but it's really not that important. Jess is a very talented teacher with so much knowledge & a great way of delivering that knowledge. If anyone is in two minds about whether this workshop is worth the money, then my answer would be yes. Every single penny & then some.

The workshop was very well organised and it was very obvious how much time and effort had been put in to make sure everything ran smoothly. Jess was super helpful and made sure that everyone got as much out of the weekend as possible. I particularly liked book as it will be great to use as a reference point going forward.

I had a great couple of days, learning so much from Jess both in terms of looking at potential locations as well as a full editing workflow. As part of the workshop we were given a very professionally put together book covering all topics of the workshop, this was a very welcome surprise. All in all the workshop was extremely good value for money and I will be attending more of Jess's workshops in the future.

If anyone is thinking about a workshop with Jess - do it!  Jess gave us lots of technical information but explained it in a simple and easy to understand way. The shoot in the afternoon was a learning experience in itself, learning what to look for and how to look for shoot locations.  Jess gave support and feedback throughout the shoot, helping us develop and learn.  The editing day was very informative, with Jess always on hand to give advice, explain techniques and help us learn what to look for in our images.  It was an excellent weekend, thank you Jess!

Not only is Jess an incredibly talented photographer, she's also a phenomenal teacher! The workshop was challenging but Jess and her team walk you through every step of the way - the amount I've learnt from it is incredible! I was nervous about attending an advanced workshop because I don't think of myself as 'advanced' but it was one of the best decisions I made. Such a fantastic experience and I can't wait to put everything I've been taught into practice! Thank you 😀

Even though I thought I was competent at dog photography there is no doubt that this weekend course has lifted my standard up quite a few notches. To standards higher than I knew existed. The course is 10x more helpful than YouTube and we all know how good they are!

Anyone considering taking a step into dog photography should absolutely consider this course. I have been on many courses but this is by far and away been the best. Jess is very passionate and knowledgeable about her subject and keen to ensure you come away with the techniques to take you up a level.

I would highly recommend the Advanced Portrait Workshop. Jess is not only highly knowledgeable and experienced in dog photography, but is also a great teacher who explains content clearly. The workshop book that was provided is a really valuable resource to refer back to, covering shoot theory and a step-by-step editing flowchart. My dog photography shooting and editing skills improved significantly over the weekend. Thanks Jess!

What a wonderful weekend! Jess covered everything from the very beginning making us think about things differently. The shoot afternoon was a big learning curve, as was the editing day. Be prepared to learn lots, and be absolutely shattered but raring to go after the 2 days.

Before signing up for the Photoshop Foundations Course, despite being a user of Photoshop for some time, I had always struggled with 'Blend Modes' and working in Camera Raw. Jess explains things in a very easy to understand way, unlike many previous courses I have undertaken, and I now feel super confident in approaching my editing using better methods than before.
